Invited Instructor for small group sessions (2021)
:: Graduate Academy for College Teaching, University of Illinois
- Together with a fellow Intro Psych instructor, I was invited to host a small group session to first-time teaching assistants from Psychology and Speech & Hearing Sciences, as part of the campus-wide pre-semester training program organized by the Graduate Academy.
- Over Zoom, we taught ~50 aspiring, excited yet nervous educators-to-be the tools of the trade.
- Our session was exceptionally well-received by the attending students, earning an overall 5/5 rating on quality and usefulness.
Sandra Goss-Lucas Award for Outstanding Teaching in Introductory Psychology (2020)

- This award recognizes my efforts in maintaining excellence in teaching while adapting to changing circumstances through experimentation and innovation in the face of unprecedented challenges in the Spring 2020 semester.
- The award usually goes to an instructor in Psychology who fosters undergraduate learning, demonstrates creativity in teaching, and promotes the professional development of new graduate instructors.

- I used informal early feedback and end-of-semester feedback from my students for two semesters;
- I participated in a minimum of six hours of teaching development workshops.
