Now more than ever, I consider psychology education as an invitation, onto an intellectual adventure where students enter new territories of knowledge, rethink unexamined assumptions, discover the significance of a neglected observation, or grapple with the boundary of intuition. This is not an easy ride, as we ask our students to stay open, and sometimes risk the chance of failure.
Therefore, as educators, we are empowered by the tremendous trust placed in us to curate and safeguard this journey, to invoke enthusiasm, cultivate skills and foster growth in and outside of our classroom. It is thus of paramount importance that we think about our responsibility, approach, and impact carefully, to create a learning environment that supports the diverse individuality of each of our students.
